Hottest day of the year and straight out the camera. Seriously awesomeness. More to come this week on what I’ve been up to lately.

The wedding of Carlee and Will was a relaxed, intimate affair. Friends and family gathered at Carlee’s family cottage in Muskoka to celebrate with this sweet couple. There was a lot of love and fun expressed throughout the day.
The day began with Carlee’s family and bridesmaids getting ready at the cottage. Laura Szucs did a stunning job on Carlee’s hair and pretty bridal makeup. If Laura’s name is familiar, it is because she’s been featured in publications such as Chatelaine, Elle Canada and the Globe and Mail.
The ceremony began with Carlee arriving in a red canoe, paddled by her father. It was a beautiful and breathtaking arrival while being serenaded by a singer and a piano player. Will was in awe and I think taken away by the arrival of his beautiful bride. Minister Reverend Smith conducted a touching ceremony with readings from Carlee’s grandmother and Will’s sister Rachel.
During cocktail hour, we captured some great photographs around their family cottages and then it was off to Bala Falls. And since Will and Carlee wanted a little more fun and “unstaged” images, we photographed in front of Balacade, which is a really cool 80s inspired and fully operational arcade. It was hard to pry the newlyweds out of playing PacMan and Rocket Dog Flyer to head to their wedding reception at the Bala Bay Inn.
Carlee and Will, congratulations again on your lovely Muskoka wedding! Don’t forget to enjoy the slideshow at the end.
Carlee’s dad was overcome when he saw his daughter.

One last brush before heading out.

Her bridesmaids were dressed in beautiful slate coloured dresses. Which photographed amazing against the dark waters of Lake Muskoka.

I loved how they sneaked in a few words to each other during the ceremony.

After the ceremony, we quickly snuck away for a few bridal party photos. The light was beautiful coming through the trees.

Then it was time for an impromptu dance on the dock. I wanted to give these images a special flare.

Off to Bala Falls for some traditional and candid moments

And then Carlee surprised me with these cute rubber Tretorn boots!

Time to sneak over to the reception

Congratulations again Carlee & Will! Thank you for having me part of your special day!

I’m dying to blog this wedding, because it was so beautiful and amazing to photograph. And sharing just one photo is really hard. But it’s called a teaser for a reason!
Stay tuned for a beyond romantic post of Carlee & Will’s Muskoka wedding.

…and those cute little yellow rubber boots (aka Skerry) are from Tretorn.

When I was asked by Danielle Perelman to help photograph Amy & Jason’s wedding, I was really excited. Danielle is a wonderful photographer, and her work is beautiful. Have a peek over at her blog to see what I mean here.
A few weeks ago, Amy and Jason were married at the beautiful Bellvue Manor in Thornhil. When I arrived, I was greeted by their wedding coordinator Sarah Cherry {Cherry & Baker} and Susan Kirsh of {Kirsh Cosmetic Studio} was placing her final makeup touches on the beautiful bride Amy.
Prior to the ceremony, Amy and Jason did their first look and family photos. I think this makes for such a wonderful and relaxed time for the family and the bridal party. The Bellvue is a wonderful venue and the time allowed us to be creative and take beautiful photos of their families.
Sandra Pacitto of Toronto Florist Shop did an incredible job with the bridal bouquets and reception floral arrangements for the day.
Amy & Jason, congratulations on your beautiful and romantic wedding. Thank you for having me help capture your special day! Mazel Tov!
A little BBM never hurt anyone…. right? Technology is good on your wedding day.
Amy and Jason were unbelievably relaxed and glowing before their ceremony.
