Jaime & Anthony:: A Niagara Winery Wedding

Happy 2013 everyone!

I’ve been holding on to this one for the perfect time and since it was such a warm weekend in Toronto; I had to share one of my favourite fall winery weddings in Niagara.  It was completely beautiful and wonderful to revisit these images of Jaime & Anthony.   Before we get to the photos, a sincere thank you to two wonderful ladies,  Elma and Alana for assisting me throughout the day.   Elma photographed Anthony and his groomsmen getting ready, while Alana and I were with Jaime and her bridesmaids.

Jaime and Anthony have a  classic kind of love that is timeless, elegant and sweet.  It’s also fun, loving, enjoyment of delicious red wines and all their amazing outdoor adventures together. Their wedding in contrast,  was a calm, lovely afternoon affair at the beautiful Estate Winery, Cave Springs  in Niagara. There was the usual flurry of activity while the girls got ready – an iPhone playing music in the corner, bridesmaids getting ready and Jaime’s beautiful white dress hanging in the Inn on the Twenty.

They had such a heartfelt ceremony filled with giggles, and kind words from their officiant, Sheldon Kofsky who at the end of their ceremony, presented each of them a glass of red to mark their union.  Their celebration afterwards at the Inn on the Twenty with family and friends amongst a gorgeous early fall sunset backdrop.  Their wedding day was perfect.

Congratulations you two!

Doesn’t Jaime’s beautiful niece and flower girl Emerson, have the deepest blue eyes you’ve ever seen?

Jaime’s dad waited patiently to see his daughter and escort her to the ceremony!

Jaime’s mom before her daughter’s beautiful entrance.

Elma caught this shot while I was photographing family formals.  I just love it!

There is something so elegant about photographing Jaime and Anthony in the vineyards.  Maybe it’s something about the late September light, or the rows of beautiful grape vines along with a newly-wed couple.  Either way, we couldn’t get enough of it!

… and then it was time to celebrate!

What an amazing day!  Congratulations Jaime and Anthony!!!

Santa’s Summer Home::

We recently took the kids up to Bracebridge to sneak in a visit with Santa at his summer home in Muskoka.  It’s a special place to our family, since I remember begging my mom to take us there during our summer vacations at Patterson Kaye Lodge.  We all packed in the car one early Sunday morning and drove north.  Our trip was wonderful and the cousins had such a great day!  Santa’s Village really outdid themselves by hosting such a fun day for the kids and parents.  From reindeer games, decorating gingerbread men, to roasting marshmallows on an open fire; and of course, a visit with Santa himself before his magical trip around the world.

Here are a few fun photos of our day at the North Pole.  Thank you so much Santa’s Village!

My little elf, Benjamin who was so excited about being here!

Not yet into reading, the little elves tried to decipher the oath.

After a few words in, they turned around and decided to rock-it-out-instead.

One of my favourite shots where I didn’t even bribe them.  So completely them; being natural, silly and fun.

Danielle Perelman - So beautiful! Ben seriously has the creamiest skin ever! What a little model.

Normajean Ozard via Facebook - These are deeeeeeeeelightful! Happy New Year, Mary, Paul and Ben!

Glam It Up: A Pinterest Inspiration Post

Inspiration is everywhere.  It’s knee deep on Pinterest and on your magazine shelves.  It’s an outdoor walk during lunch hour.  And most recently, it’s from my clients and many of their inquiries I’ve received lately, which brings me to preparing this fun post.    While I’m still knee deep in editing a ton of gorgeous weddings, family sessions and creative shoots I wanted to update my blog with a little something extra pretty today.  Holiday parties are around the corner, but this infusion of style can be done anytime and anywhere, really.  Here’s an inspiration board I created in Pinterest, that I would love to photograph.  It can really be incorporated into anything  such as a bridal celebration with your best girlfriends, designing the sweetness of a baby shower or even a celebrating special birthday.  Either way, glam it up!

One of my favourite and go to blogs for design inspiration is Holly Becker, at Decor8.   Her Pinterest boards are so inspiring and the fact she pinned one of my photos featured by Style Me Pretty was a complete and lovely surprise!  Not on Pinterest yet?  Come join me here!
