Rachael’s Day:: A Mary Poppin’s Bridal Shower

Oh happy day, as Rachael is getting married on Saturday and what a perfect time to feature her aaahmazing bridal shower.  This post is a doozy of heavenly gorgeous details, but for every good reason!

Earlier this spring, I had the pleasure of photographing Rachael’s shower at Riviera Parque in Vaughan with so many creative individuals!  I was so honoured to be there and incredibly appreciative when I get to work with some amazing people and the sweetest of clients!

The theme of the shower was based on Mary Poppins, with elegant and whimsicle details coordinated and styled by sweet and talented ladies, Crystal Adair-Benning of Distinct Occasions and Rachel Clingen of Rachel A. Clingen Event Styling.    Everything was meticulously planned and Rachael arrived, she lit up in awe of her room!  I was thrilled to capture her bridal celebration and upcoming marriage to her fiance Joey this summer.

There were just so many swoon worthy details to capture including the beautiful Mary Poppins cake, created by Lori Hutchinson of The Caketress.  Lori designed the banana split flavour cake with pin stripes, umbrellas and spoons full of sugar, all of which are whimsicle details that is very much Mary Poppins!

Rachael’s bridal shower was beautiful from start to finish.  Guests were greeted with a signature cocktail, an extensive candy table of all things Mary Poppins.   Her bridesmaids all wore a bright colour to complement the brightness and whimsicle feel of Rachael’s day.  Lovely stationary creations by Deb Lau of Palettera, continuing the red and blue stripe inspirations from the movie.

A sincere thank you to Tami who helped me on this amazing day.  Get ready for a huge post packed with my favourite details from Rachael’s stunning bridal shower!

Stunning bride-to-be Rachael.

As a party favour, guests were given different coloured umbrellas.  Such a great idea and so pretty… I love mine!

Rachael and her bridal party, such a stunning and fun group of girls.  I just LOVE this photo!

Italian tradition involves the groom-to-be appearing at the end of the bridal shower with flowers for both mothers, and his soon to be bride.  When Joey arrived, all the ladies erupted in cheer as his arms were overflowing with beautiful bouquets for the ladies.

Towards the end of this beautiful day, I managed to sneak the couple out for a few portraits of just the two of them.   Love the casualness, yet prettiness of these.

All the best Rachael and Joey for a beautiful wedding and your new future together.  Thank you for having me capture this lovely day!
