Urban Mode :: Toronto Lifestyle and Business Photography

Happy New Year Everyone!

Let’s start it off with a great spanking new post, and maybe one that will tug away at your inner designer!  Continuing on our path for the CRAVE Toronto series,  {Urban Mode} is one of those businesses that just gets it.  One of the design stores along Queen Street West in Toronto, owner Myrlene Sundberg, an interior designer started her business after noticing that Toronto lacked affordable modern design in the city.  Since 1977, Myrlene and her team at Urban Mode have been showcasing new and noteable products from around the world.

When photographing her store over Christmas, Mrylene had a few suggestions of moving some key pieces of furniture into the scene.  Little did I know the history behind this beautiful white screen, that we placed for her backdrop was the same one used during Elton John’s interview on {Canada AM} earlier last spring.  Very cool!

If you’re in the Queen West area (at 145 Tecumseth Street), drop into her store.  You may need a few hours of browsing time, because there is so much inspiration!

Happy Birthday Urban Mode!  Thirty five is a great number! 😉
